We're a family club, with family members and family values. You need not reside in South Dakota to be part of this growing club.

We are a group of pinto horse owners, who happen to live in and around the Black Hills region. We decided to revive the BHPtHA group which had become disorganized over the last few years.We are actively seeking members form SD, WY, NE, MN, MT, IA, CO and ND.
Some of us are interested in rodeo, trail riding and pleasure riding, while others of us are interested in events, workshops and clinics. Some ride their pintos, some use their pintos for driving, and others train their horses for show competetion.
We are of all ages and we have varied levels of horsemanship skills. Some of us live on ranches and farms, while others live in cities and small towns. Whoever you are, you are welcome to join our group of "pinto-lovin' people".

Officers elected for 2008 BHPtHA include the following: Shawn Cline-President, Abby DeJong-Vice-President, Sonya Conleley-Secretary, and Eris Tanner-Treasurer. Directors elected: Barbara DeJong and Sue Hayden.

Documentation and funds have been sent to the National Pinto Horse Association and it is expected that the Black Hills Pinto Horse Association charter will be approved in April.

We are actively seeking your input as to what you want from this organization. If your are interested in workshops let us know the level of expertise you are looking for and your preferred clinic/workshop dates.

'In-the-planning-stages' Events for 2009

As soon as BHPtHA is notified of its charter renewal the group is looking forward to organizing a Fall 2009 Pinto Horse Show. Plans include a variety of events with four judges for this show.
It is also hoped the BHPtHA can host smaller horse shows to be held at various outdoor arenas throughout the hills area this year. Join today and help!

BHPtHA Membership Information

Dues will be paid yearly in the following membership categories:
Junior Membership-(child under 18 years of age)-$10.00,
Individual Membership-(adult, 18 years of age and older)-$15.00,
Family Membership-(Two adults & one child under the age of 18)-$20.00,
Family Membership-(Two adults & two or more children under the age of 18)-$25.00
Members in good standing will be eligible for all year-end awards and special benefits of BHPtHA sponsored events.
